 DEVELOPMENT BLOG WEEK:3 

Progress made this week 

In my giant chart I noted that on the third week I had to start my task 2 but I wasn’t quite satisfied with the amount of work I created in my task one and I didn’t explain the majority of my mood boards also I feel like I didn’t fully produce enough mood boards on the theme orange so l made a few more mood boards one of which was a mood board of things around Scarborough that were either orange or represented orange I tried solely getting pictures online but they wasn’t a lot of results on orange so I had to take pictures of orange things or orange representation in order to create my mood boards. I also edited my task 1 work while also explaining the images of my mood boards as well as their representation. I also plan on overlooking my work on Sunday to make more edits on my work and creating the primarily research.

This week I did some research on what primary work, the types of primary research, the advantages of primary research as well as its disadvantages and I wrote it down. While creating a documentation of all the sources I used in process and putting it on my blog for easy access. 

Breakthroughs made 

I learned that they are several web sites that are free in which l could make surveys without having to pay a dime like survio ; Typeform ; SurveyHero ; Zapier which are the sites l plan to use to create my online surveys. 

 

Anything I found hard 

I found it slightly hard to use different sources on the internet in order to prevent creating copyrighted work by just solely rewriting what other websites say but I pulled through and I realised that I just had to read from different source, and I had to paraphrase the text and write it how I would write it by use my thought idea. I also struggle with images that were orange because when I look at certain images like post office sign it looked orange at first but the more I looked at it I realised that is was red rather than orange I also had issues with images that would firstly look they would seem like a bright orange to me but the more I would analyse the image I would come to realisation that the image was just a bright yellow. 

Plan for next week  

In the upcoming week which would be week four for l plan follow my giant chart time plan by conducting my secondary idea which would investigate the chosen theme; products ; audience but because i haven't yet actually done the primary research but l rather wrote what it was l plan to use the first two days of the week to finish conducting the primary research then using the remaining days to write the secondary research I also plan on to come up with a game ideas and also create mind maps ; mood boards as well as designs for my orange themed game idea with a correlation of my primary and secondary research.

  During the process of making a gantt chart what went well is the time planning processes with other in order to discuss the time duration that each task might require as well as putting time off school into consideration but when l was creating the gantt chart I was start thing the bars to be monday to monday and they were empty slots between two tasks which were 5 days long .What I did or what l would do in the future again is to allocate the  the same amount of days between two coloumbs for example this this case they are separated by saturday and sunday. scarfest music festival.

  EXPLANATION OF HOW MY INITIAL IDEAS EVOLVED FROM RESEARCH TO FINALISED CONCEPTS.   My initial idea was inspired by the recent dea th of the rock legend, the prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne. l wanted to   create a music festival webpage that will be a tribute music festival to Ozzy Osburn music festival to attract rock and metal enthusiasts as well as to attract Ozz y Osborne fans.   However,  after conducting research, I realised  that the majo r ity of the respondents wouldn't atte nd a tribute music festival.  l created a mock-up of what l would like f or it to look like but l soon realised that l wasn't using the feedbac k of my research . l then later came up with a pop music festival that followed the feedback of the primary research which showed that the  majority of the respondents were 18 years old or under which is mainly  students .This led to the concept of a back - t o - school pop music festival that...

WEEK 8 :FINAL MAJOR PROJECT.

z PROGRESS MADE FROM LAST WEEK  Last week I planned on creating another background layer for my PHAROAH VENGENCE which is my first game idea l planned on creating another layer a parallax background with Egyptian pyramids; sky and sun on the background   as well as Egyptian pillars on the background as well so it's not interactive with the characters ended changing my mind cause l had to restart everything which would cause me to be a week behind.   The image below is a mood board of what l wanted the background layer to look like although l didn't make it for the Pharoah's vengeance game idea i do plan on making one for my THE FLOOR IS LAVA game idea with a cave background with l ava seeping on the walls.         l ended up just creating pillars on Piskel to then upload them as tile assets.
