 FINAL MAJOR PROJECT. 

  DEVELOPMENT BLOG: WEEK 2. 

What did l do this week? 

This week l came up with three ideas based of my contextual research of the theme Dave .The first idea i came up with is a dating slash friend app where instead of the user uploading their own image, they upload images of their pets, and their profile description will be in third person were the pet talks about the owner like their interests , likes , dislikes and what they are looking for .l also conducted secondary research where l searched up how many people in UK had pets , how many people in UK use dating apps , how many people in the UK use dating apps , how many people use pet dating apps ,what features a dating app has and what makes dating apps a success. 

My second idea that l came up with is an allergy scanning app that scans the area for restaurants that are allergy friendly and that also caters to people with religious food restrictions like halal food. l conducted research on what a food allergy is, what the symptoms of a food allergy are, what the common food allergies are, what the features of an allergy scanning app are, what app is and how to make an app a success. 

My third idea is an app that will help users to prepare for an interview based of the job by having a Api that will have a practice interview  with the user , the app will also display jobs or companies that are hiring and it will also help fix and improve your cv before you apply for a job. I conducted my secondary research by researching on what a web app is , how it works ,what the steps are involved in the fuctioning of a web application , what languages web applications use , what the pros and cons of web applications are , what makes a web application a successful and the different kinds of a web application. Also, what an Api is. 

I also created a survey that asked open and closed ended questions on which idea people prefer below are images showing my survey. {BELOW IS THE SURVEY LINK:

Alongside creating the survey, I created images on Canva to better help explain my ideas, for my first idea l used canvas phone template and l uploaded a round curved square shape which I put as the phones background l then uploaded images of pets from Pinterest  as well as images of a mail box to act as the accept button and a image of a pillow in the shape of an x to be the reject button l  then added text for the description and the owners name. 

For the second image idea, l uploaded images on Canva from Pinterest of a phone showing a map location, a restaurant image and people drinking together and used canva text templates for the text. 

For the thirst image I used the Canva elements templates . 

Breakthroughs that l made. 

Although it might be a bit irrelevant to the project, l learnt how to create a box on PowerPoint that has text in it. SEE IMAGE BELOW TO GET WHAT I MEAN. 

Anything l found hard. 

I didn't find anything particularly hard this week as l was conducting primary and secondary research on the three ideas l came up with. 

Plans for next week.  

I plan on writing using the responses that l got on my survey to write up my final idea; writing why l chose it based on the survey and how the contextual research on the theme Dave will be incorporated into the final idea. 

I also plan on conducting marketing research and listing the strengths, weaknesses; what l would take that l will be implemented on my final idea and what l wouldn't do.
