                        DEVELOPMENT BLOG WEEK 1. 

                                  What did I do this week? 

This week l created a giant chart using the free online Gantt chart software to plan and track the various tasks. 

                               Breakthroughs that l made. 

I haven't made any breakthroughs as l am in the start of research itself and this week l was just looking at ‘’Dave’’ or ‘’David ‘’ named individual in cartoons, films; also places or towns named Dave or David and the history or the origin of the name Dave and David. 

                               Anything l found hard. 

I struggled doing the Gantt chart because when l created it initially l didn't put to account about the school breaks and easter holiday that we will have .On the second giantt chart when l fixed it and put the school breaks .The total amount of  weeks for the final major project  was twelve instead of fifteen which meant something was wrong but l don't know what went wrong because the research has a duration of three weeks from the 26th of January to the 13th of February  2026 ; the pre-production has a duration of four weeks from the 23rd of February to the 2oth of March 2026 ; the  first build has a duration of one week from the 23rd of MARCH to the 27th of March 2026  with the second build duration being four weeks from the 13th of April to the 08th of May 2026 and the evaluation being from the 10th of May to the 14th of May 2026. 

The total amount of weeks on my second Gantt for the overall project was 13 weeks instead of fifteen weeks. 

                                     Plan for next week. 

Next week, which will be my second week, l plan on conducting more research. I plan on coming up with three ideas based on the contextual research I did given the theme ‘’Dave’’.After coming up with the three ideas, I plan on conducting primary research on each idea. I then plan on creating a survey to get unbiased opinions about which idea between the three that they like and reasons why they liked or disliked the idea.

CREATING A GANTT CHART:DEVELOPMENT BLOG WEEK 1.

  During the process of making a gantt chart what went well is the time planning processes with other in order to discuss the time duration that each task might require as well as putting time off school into consideration but when l was creating the gantt chart I was start thing the bars to be monday to monday and they were empty slots between two tasks which were 5 days long .What I did or what l would do in the future again is to allocate the  the same amount of days between two coloumbs for example this this case they are separated by saturday and sunday.
