FINAL MAJOR PROJECT:WEEK 8

 What l did this week? 

This week l started my build-project which l based on my green mock design that l created on Canva. 

 

I created a index.html file in which l created the home page  by getting the navbar code that l sourced from my WatchitWall website, but l just changed the navbar background color as well as the hover color .l then downloaded  the images that l downloaded from my mock-up design with one of the images being my hero image then l created a section where l inserted the images that l downloaded from Canva which I then uploaded my hero images and added my other images by created or rather arranging in a div class which l styled the images to be in a grid in rows of 3 in one frame . 

I also created the about page by creating another section in my index.html file which l named about page , l then downloaded my about page image in Canva which l uploaded to my index file , l also add a button function which l named Our mission i then added some text i also added four button blocks . 

I also created a side navbar with the help of WE3school website as i had trouble figuring out how to get the navbar to be hidden by a click of the menu icon.

ANYTHING I FOUND HARD? 

I had trouble getting the images to align in a grid of 3 and for then to have the right margin and padding but with the help of W3SCHOOL and YouTube l got the problem solved by simply adding grid element in the style.css file. I also struggled getting the mission button to be lined in the middle as it was attached to the left side of the screen, but when l added a z-index of 1000 , a top and left position of 20px to the style.css file . 

l also had trouble align the four button blocks as the text was the same and the blocks weren't the same size but when I added a <br> tag in my index.html file l used geekforgeek website to help me figure out what i was doing wrong which was that l didn't add a padding as well as a text align element. 

 

What l plan on doing next week 

I plan on adding a search bar in the about page under the browse by sector text.l plan on creating a functioning job board page as well as the users account profile .l also plan on perhaps fixing my login so it can function.
