WEEK 13 :DEVELOPMENT BLOG FINAL MAJOR PROJECT.

Final Major Project – Week 13

 What I did?

This week, I created a questionnaire using Microsoft Forms to gather people’s opinions on my website and its overall build. The purpose of the questionnaire was to gain peer feedback and evaluate how users felt about my project"SEARCH"

Below is the link to the form that I created and shared with participants to collect feedback on my overall website build:SEARCH – Fill Out Form

After sending out the questionnaire, I analysed the responses and wrote about the results in my PowerPoint presentation. My main focus this week was completing the unfinished slides in my build portfolio, while also checking my grammar, spelling, and ensuring that the font style remained consistent throughout the entire presentation. In addition, I wrote the evaluation section of my build portfolio, where I reflected on my development journey and discussed how the overall build process went.

As part of my evaluation, I completed a SWOT analysis. In the strengths section, I explained how resources such as [W3Schools](https://www.w3schools.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), [Universe](https://www.universe.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), and the [Gemini API](https://ai.google.dev?utm_source=chatgpt.com) helped support and speed up my development process. These platforms provided tutorials, coding support, and guidance throughout my building journey.

In the weaknesses section, I discussed how I did not always follow my original project plan or Gantt chart exactly as intended. This was mainly because I spent a large amount of time ensuring that my login and registration system worked correctly. I also had to learn and use new programming languages and technologies in order to successfully implement different features into my project.

In the threats section, I explained that one of my biggest challenges was my limited experience with MySQL. As a result, I had to quickly teach myself new backend development concepts and technologies in order to create functionality for the login and registration system.

I also discussed several opportunities that could improve the overall website in the future. During the questionnaire, some respondents suggested changing the green colour palette because they felt it was too harsh or overwhelming, especially for users with visual impairments. Based on this feedback, I explained that I would like to introduce multiple colour themes and customisation options in future versions of the website.

Additionally, I discussed how I would improve navigation by making the “Browse by Sector” images clickable so that users could directly access job boards related to specific industries. I also mentioned that I would like to develop an interactive API mascot that moves throughout the website and speaks whenever the user interacts with it.

Furthermore, I reflected on how I would improve the messaging feature so that it supports proper communication between users and administrators, especially when users are invited to interviews. I also explained that I would like to add a CV tracking system and backend functionality that allows administrators to analyse how suitable candidates are for particular jobs. This feature would display a percentage score showing how closely a candidate matches the role requirements.

Finally, I continued writing my overall project evaluation, where I explained the purpose of the project, reflected on the entire development process, and discussed how I implemented the theme **DAVE** into my website project.

What went wrong?

Nothing significant went wrong this week, as my main focus was completing unfinished slides and writing the evaluation section of my project portfolio.

What l plan to do next week?

Next week, I plan to review my previous research portfolio and pre-production work to ensure that the structure, grammar, and spelling are all accurate and professional. I also plan to hand in my Final Major Project and ensure that all videos, links, and interactive elements included in the project work correctly.

In addition, I plan to finish my final evaluation and make any final improvements needed before submission.
